Our Tax Position

All corporations have a responsibility to pay taxation in the jurisdictions where they employ staff and generate profits to support amongst other things the provision of infrastructure, health systems and education of their workforces.

At Equip Outdoor Technologies UK Ltd we consider our obligations to pay a fair and appropriate amount of tax in each of the jurisdictions that we operate as a key element of our corporate and social responsibility, as well as a compliance and risk management requirement.

Equip employs a low risk tax strategy. We aim to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and make returns and payments in a timely manner. Whilst we will seek the benefit of valid and legal tax planning strategies such as Research and Development tax relief and grants, we will not adopt any strategies that we consider to be aggressive and/or do not support the underlying commercial activities of the Group.

Equip’s finance team, led by the Chief Financial Officer, has responsibility for compliance with our tax obligation. Appropriate training is given to relevant staff including staff members outside of the finance team such as sourcing and sales support. Third party advisers are also engaged in each territory where we have a taxation compliance obligation to assist with this.
We seek to maintain an open and honest relationship with the relevant tax authorities by provision of the requisite information including, if applicable, disclosure of any non-compliance identified as part of any external or internal audit procedures.
